Our new cycling holiday across the Dolomites of Italy is sure to become of the finest Alpine cycle tours to be found in Europe. Set amongst the stunning scenery of the Dolomites, this classic road cycling trip picks out the best mountain stages of the famous Giro d’Italia for us to cycle. There will be cycling challenges aplenty as we cycle across Giro D'Italia alpine passes such as the Passo Sella (2244m/7362ft) and Passo di Gardena (2121m/6959ft)in the heart of the Dolomites. We use comfortable hotel accommodation throughout the cycling stages of the holiday and stay in picturesque ski-towns such as Canazei and Cortina. Spending a free day in the latter, there is the chance to go hiking, do some more cycling or simply take it easy. This Alpine style road cycling holiday through the Dolomites of Italy is surely a 'must do' ride for Sportiva riders and cycling enthusiasts alike.

Ride Guide

ROAD ADVENTURE. With over 8000m/26,250ft of ascent this is a trip for fit and experienced road cyclists. Many of the climbs are steep, but the descents are fast and furious. We stay in comfortable hotels and have vehicle support throughout. This is totally supported riding - at the start of the day, when the group sets off biking, your kit bag will be loaded into the support vehicle and transported to the next overnight halt. Apart from a fixed rendezvous for lunch, you are free to cycle at your own pace but the support vehicle is never far away. We must stress that apart from the emergency tool kit and spares that you would take on any day ride, you will not be required to carry any luggage. Stunning scenery, atmospheric overnight accommodation and a magnificent route make this an unforgettable experience. Average daily distance 75km/47miles.
