Set amongst dramatic coastal mountains, which rise above white sand beaches and the sparkling blue sea, Rio de Janeiro is one of the most spectacular cities on earth. Spending 2 full days here, we visit the unmissable Sugar Loaf and Corcovado viewpoints and enjoy free time at Copacabana Beach. We then fly to Salvador, a city famous for its baroque architecture, before making the short transfer inland to the Chapada Diamantina National Park. Five days of trekking in this lovely reserve area will include easy forest trails and more rugged river-bed scrambling as we approach some of Brazil's highest waterfalls which tumble from sheer rocky escarpments. Camping out in a hill-top cave and visiting the underground lake known as 'the enchanted pool' are just 2 of the highlights of our time in the park. Combining the unique Rio experience and Brazil's most beautiful trekking, this brand new South American adventure will have you dancing in the streets.
