A classic mountain bike holiday adventure into the Jebel Sahro of Morocco. With the snow-covered peaks of the High Atlas to the north and the Sahara to the south, the climate of the Jebel Sahro in Morocco is the perfect place for cycling outside the summer months. From the intoxicating city of Marrakech, we drive to the start of the biking in the magnificent Todra Gorge. Biking on a mixture of hard pack and tarmac roads our bike route leads across high passes cycling to remote kasbahs and desert oases. At the end of the cycling there's still time to explore the souks and sounds of Marrakech. Escape to Morocco on a biking journey to the pink and ochre coloured mountains of the Jebel Sahro!
Ride Guide
SEMI-SLICK ADVENTURE. This trip is suitable for regular and reasonably fit bikers with mountain bikes fitted with semi-slick tyres. Mainly biking on hard pack tracks, the route is not overly technical but there are enough climbs to offer a challenge. There are also some singletrack options throughout for fitter, technically adept bikers. We will stay in comfortable hotels each night. Vehicle support always available. Average 55 km/34 miles per day. We start and finish the trip in Marrakech and with two nights included in Marrakech, there’s plenty of time to explore the souks, sights and sounds of this exotic city.
